Jamcho Trek (Nagarjung Hills, Kathmandu)

07:30 am – Hotel Pickup / Breakfast at Hotel

• Have a proper breakfast at the hotel since only snacks will be carried on the hike.
• Carry water (2 liters per person) and light snacks (fruits, biscuits, energy bars).

08:00 am – Drive to Fulbari Gate (Shivapuri National Park entrance)

• About 20–30 minutes drive from Thamel.
• Buy the park entry ticket at the gate.

08:30 am – Start Hike to Jamacho Gumba

• The trail begins with stone steps inside Shivapuri National Park.
• Steady uphill walk through forest, mostly shaded.

10:30 am – Midway Snack Break

• Take a short rest at one of the flat spots.
• Light snacks (biscuits, fruits, nuts).

11:30 am – Reach Jamacho Monastery (2,128m)

• Explore the stupa and small monastery.
• Enjoy panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley and mountains like Langtang, Ganesh Himal, and even Dorje Lakpa on clear days.

12:00 Noon – Descend Back to Fulbari Gate

• Walk down carefully, about 1–1.5 hours.

01:30 pm – Drive Back to Hotel

• Reach hotel for late lunch and rest.

• Total hiking time: ~4–5 hours (up and down).
• Elevation gain: ~800m.
• Meals: Only snacks on the hike; proper meals at the hotel.
• Best season: Autumn and spring for clear views.
